“Ideas worth spreading. ”
This is the motto of the TED, and TEDx, where x = independently organized. But, whose ideas? The million-viewed TED Talks that circle the web via email inboxes and show up on Facebook news-feeds are generally given by big-wigs who own companies, have traveled the world or invented complex inventions. Obviously these talks become viral!
But here at TEDXCSU, the unique perspective is more important than the credentials. We want to hear from the Colorado State University student whom has re-thought the way to reduce waste on campus, the community member who is committed to the local economy, or the professional that started their business right here in Northern Colorado. No big names, just big ideas!
Anyone from the Northern Colorado region can apply to be a speaker at the October 11th, 2014 event. TEDXCSU is not limited to Colorado State University students and staff. Nine speakers will be selected to give a talk to those who attend the event, as well as be recorded for the official TEDX Youtube Channel.
Apply to be a speaker by Wednesday at 12 pm! Applications can be found, filled out and submitted here.
